I have been to Phi Phi years ago but took a girl with me. Anyway, just wondering if there are any lady bars there now?  My friend and I would prefer to get a girl there. If we can, is it the usual going Thai rate and how much are bar fines?

Koh Phi Phi Don has become very popular in the recent years due to the motion picture movie, “The Beach” which was filmed on the island of Phi Phi Lay which is a 15 minute boat ride away.

Note: If you only like Thai hookers, this is NOT the place for you.  This is one of the only places in Thailand where I have never been propositioned for sex. It’s full of tourists who are seeking paradise.  And Phi Phi does not fail to deliver.

The Nightlife in Phi Phi is an experience you’ll remember for the rest of your life. There are many options available to please everyone: Sports Bars, Irish Pubs, Boxing Rings, Beach Parties, Fire Shows, and more.

At 9:00pm, the whole island turns into a party.  Since there is no shortage of places to go, this is what we recommend for the first night to maximize your fun.

9:00pm

Get some Dinner at an Italian restaurant called, “Cosmics”.  Hands down the best tasting restaurant on the island with incredible prices.  Get pasta for 100 baht or a pizza for 130 baht.  Chat with friendly tourists sitting next to you.  Make a friend or two.

10:00pm

Head to Reggie Bar.  This is a two story bar with a Kickboxing ring in the center.  Here the establishment will have “fake” Thai boxing fights for your enjoyment.  However, these tend to be pretty lame once you realize the fights are fake.  But these fights work as a filler.

Here tourists can get in the ring and fight other tourists.  Win or lose, they get a bucket of alcohol.  Sitting back sipping on a beer while others fight in the ring for your enjoyment is quite entertaining.  If you are lucky, you’ll even see some girls fight.

This is by far the best part, it’s not only funny to see girls fight with gloves and chest guards, but the best part is when they are friends and do it for the free drink.  However, when one hits the other a bit too hard, all hell breaks lose.  You then have two wild cats in the ring going crazy on each other.

If you aren’t too hung over from the night before, the daytime is as much fun as the night in Phi Phi.  Here are a few things you can consider doing:

1- Chill on the Beach

You’re on an island surrounded by beauty.  Grab a beer, a book, and enjoy life again.  Go to the bay and look out at into the ocean which is surrounded by beautiful rock formations.  If you don’t feel a sense of peace or happiness here, then you must really be in bad shape.

Wade in the water, throw a Frisbee, join a football game, and talk to some girls.  This island is all about doing what makes you happy.

2- Maya Bay

I’ve traveled around the world, and I have never seen or felt a beach more beautiful than Maya Bay.  This is where they filmed the movie, “The Beach”.  The water feels like you are in a warm swimming pool.  The sand is the softest white sand ever felt.  And the island of Phi Phi Lay is very beautiful.

These are some tips that the members of the Kings of Thailand community have used to save money on Koh Phi Phi Islands.

1- Do Not Book a Hotel or Guesthouse in Advance

This tip isn’t for everyone, but if you have the flexibility, you will save money by following this tip. The prices online tend to be very expensive and features the upscale hotels.  When you arrive in Phi Phi, spend an hour to look around for a place to stay.  Never commit to more than two nights in one place without staying there first.

2- Ignore the People at the Pier

When you arrive, you will be bombarded by Thais saying they can find you a place.  These people over charge and are very pushy.  Just say no thanks to all of them.  If you stop to look at what they offer, you will never get rid of them.

3- Eat at Cosmic Italian Restaurant

Simply the best place to eat in Phi Phi with the best prices. This place has Thai, European and Italian food.  Nearly every visitor of Phi Phi remembers this place as having the best food on the island.
